Christmas | downlaod wion album for free
The year 2009 is going to its end, christmas and the year 2010 are standing in front of our doors. After twelve haunting months, it's time to sort some things and to plan new ideas and projects - without losing the basics.
A personal retrospection of the whole year will be published at www.tgbo.de within the next few days.
Till this evening I wish all visitors of wion-beats.de a merry christmas with their families and friends.
And as a very special gift wion will give it's first album "Life's Fantastic Flights" for free to download (MP3-Format, 192 kb/ps, 86 MB) - but just for three days!

wion album "Club 88" out now !!!
The brandnew 13-track album fuses several beats and melodies from the styles (Melodic) House, Deephouse, Drum & Bass, Techno and Chillout.
Club 88 is published and available at Portable Music Records. You can buy the album in digitally form (MP3) as download and physically (CD) via shipping or personally (eg. at a livegig).
A short compilation of all tracks (medley, MP3) can be downloaded at the musicsite for free.

AESTATE gig cancelled !!!
Unfortunately, the announced live show of the Avantgarde Electronic Artists AESTATE (Essen, Germany) on Saturday, 29th of August, 2009, is cancelled for health reasons.
But as scheduled, the Bitstream Event itself will take place as announced.

New wion Album in September, 2009
After producing, recording and mastering a lot of tracks, I decided to release another wion longplayer.
"Club 88" is a kind of compilation, like the first albums "Life´s Fantastic Flights" and "Chill Out / Reverse" are, too. House, Deephouse, Disco, Drum & Bass, Techno and Trance/Chill at its best, devided in 13 tracks, some rough and smooth grooves to listen and dance to.
"Club 88" will be released at Portable Music Records on Friday, 18th of September, 2009.

AESTATE live performance | Co-produced by Thorsten
The avantgarde Electro Combo AESTATE will play another live gig in 2009.
Next to two other bands and some DJs, Sven Piayda and Chris Huff will work with their laptops, sounds and loops within the BITSTREAM (EBM, IDM, Electronica) at the DJÄZZ in Duisburg, Germany.
Thorsten, the mastermind of wion-beats, will co-produce the show of AESTATE again!

Thorsten co-produces AESTATE live show
AESTATE (Avantgarde Electronica from Essen, Germany) will play their first live show in 2009 within the Opernbauhütte in Mühlheim a. d. Ruhr (Germany) on Thursday, 21st of may, 2009 at about 6 pm.
Next to some DJ-Sets, the show will be illustrated by visuals and co-produced by the wion-beats Mastermind Thorsten.

AESTATE Live Performance Media in progress
On February 20th, 2009, AESTATE will publish two different Media: first of all they will distribute their first AESTATE-LIVE-DVD (produced by Sven and Michi), and also they will publish the Live-Music-Performance in a digitally format to download (MP3).
As you remember: Thorsten has been the Co-Producer of the Live-Performance in October.
So we can expect one of the absolutely highlights in music and visuals of the year 2009 in February - stay tuned!

wion-beats co-produces Aestate Live Production
Thorsten is the co-producer of the next Aestate Live Show within the Audio Digitale 2008.
Aestate´s live music set will include a multiple screen visuals show.
Audio Digitale is a new festival with electronic music, visual arts, djs and workshops. Next to Aestate some other bands will play live, too. The entry for the live gigs is free!

RUHR IN LOVE aftermath / New works are set
"Business as usual" is the slogan after the Ruhr In Love on June 28th, 2008. And some thoughts for the future have been started, but more information when time has come.
It has been a great event in the Olgapark Oberhausen (Germany), about 26,000 freaks of electronic music had great fun with all these floors, DJs and Live Acts. The weather was very fine, the sun was shining and there was enough to drink and to eat. Let me say: it was a day you may not forget!
wion-beats presented a wion vs Disco22 mix on the Electric Nights Floor and was supported by Peter Gumball (Ruhrklang) live on stage.
Factor-4 and Aestate played Live Sets next to wion, and of course, a lot of DJs around the electric unity scene used their turntables.
There are some pictures placed on the new wion-beats site "Live".
A big thank you to my brother Peter (Ruhrklang) for supporting wion/Disco22, to Alex Terzakis (Factor-4) for the great organisation before, while and after the Ruhr In Love and finally to Sven (Aestate) for this and that.

The record (only CD) got 13 Tracks, changing from slow and dreamy Vibes to very danceable Trance. It is a work with concept and spiced with a medium part of melancholia.

wion-beats is proud to present the latest Project: Disco 22
Disco 22 takes the very danceable Dance-, Disco- and Trance-Tracks of wion to an own character. The reason for this break is very simple: I want to get the wion style back to its roots - easy listening of House, Drum & Bass, Trip Hop / Downbeat and Electronica.

The first wion Live Gig in 2008 is past. It was a big fun for me to play live on stage for years (solo). I hope I will get some more Live Events this year, but first of all, I have to remind to distribute the music and live acting. It´s not so easy to handle with some absolute new hard- and software, so I am about to say to me: Thorsten, learn and do!
And yes, I will :-)
